Riverside, California – July 30, 2021 – Effective December 5, 2021, Bourns will change the marking method for the Model RLB1008-270M and RLB1008-270M3 Radial Lead Inductors from ink printing to embossed molding. The new process will eliminate the use of ink material to facilitate compliance with the mandatory national standards of the People's Republic of China which limits the use of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in printing ink.
The fit and function of the inductor remain unchanged. The form of the component will change due to the adoption of the embossed molding process. The quality and reliability of the marking on the inductor will be improved. The quality and reliability of the inductor itself should not change as a result of the adoption of the embossed molding process.
