FDI is also changing the off-board speaker connector for better part retention and compatibility with other connector footprints. FDI is also changing LCDs due to better specifications from the new LCD.
●Detailed Description of Change:
■Change the accelerometer (U14) from MMA7455L to LIS3DH. This part has a new I2C address that has been updated in all documentation. The uEZ software driver for the accelerometer has been updated to support the LIS3DH and should be compatible at the API level, so this change should be transparent to the customer. The LIS3DH accelerometer has improved user-selectable scales of ±2g/±4g/±8g/±16g and it is capable of measuring accelerations with output data rates from 1 Hz to 5 kHz.
■The LIS3DH is an LGA footprint and operates over an extended temperature range from -40 °C to +85 °C.The LIS3DH also allows for a wider operating voltage range, 1.71V to 3.6V.
Change the off-board speaker connector (J7)footprint for better part retention, enlarging solder pads and allowing for multiple connector options to be used.The new connector footprint is compatible with the RDI connector used and allows for better connector retention by increasing the pad area.
■Change LCD from Newhaven Display NHD-4.3-480272EF-ATXL#-CTP to Newhaven Display NHD-4.3-480272EF-ASXV#-CTP. The new display has better specifications in the typical viewing angle (75 degrees, up from 70) and luminance (850 nits typical, up from 340).
