■Initial situation
●SAI M8 Line distribution boxes have a grey housing made of Pocan plastic.
●The contact carrier was made of the black plastic Pocan.
●The inner potting on the underside was previously black and designed as mirror potting.
●The latching lugs of the marking markers are arranged asymmetrically
■Technical change
●The plastic for the housing is replaced with black Pocan.
●The plastic for the contact carriers will be changed to grey Pocan.
●The potting on the underside will be left natural in future and will no longer be mirror potting. Minor sink marks on the back of the distribution boxes are possible. These have no influence on the technical data.
●The locking lugs of the new markers are symmetrically arranged.
●All other technical specifications of the manifolds remain identical.
■Reason for change
●Due to the current economic situation, we are forced to prioritize product availability. Accordingly, we are switching to black Pocan as the housing material on the one hand, and from black potting to natural potting on the other to ensure our ability to deliver in the best possible way.
●The symmetrical marker is easier to assemble because twisting is not possible. This simplifies the assembly of the markers.
■Availability
●The changeover is expected to be implemented at the end of Q2 2022.After the changeover, mixed deliveries of old and new products may occur.
●As the technical specifications and handling are identical, both distributor versions can be used equally without restrictions.
