MultiTech is releasing new ordering part numbers for select SocketModem® CellLTE Cat 4 cellular embedded modem products. The existing ordering part numbers are changing status from Generally Available to End-of-Life (EOL)effective immediately. The new ordering part numbers will include a new radio firmware version that changes the default User Equipment (UE) setting from Voice Centric to Data Centric.
This change is in response to the AT&T 3G sunset and its impacts on certain 4G devices. See PCN# 05062021-00for more information on this topic. As a reminder, customers using the models listed in the PCN on the Verizon network or networks in Europe or Australia are not impacted by this change.
