■Please be informed about the upcoming changes on ams Dragster product family. As mentioned in CN03_2019 sent back in February 2019, ams is working on several changes regarding Dragster products with invar package. Those changes are scheduled for implementation in Q3/2020.
■Change Description
▼The changes on ams Dragster product family impact the interface connectors and the product supply chain. A molex connector reference change due to the counterpart being discontinued by the manufacturer. The current connector is part number 0553391208 and the updated replacement will be part number 5010171203. The mating connector part must change to Molex PN 0546841204. A supply chain change motivated by turnkey solution will replace current suppliers of PCB, SMD, tape and invar, as well as invar material. The procurement of PCB, SMD components, new molex connector, tape (supplier only) and invar will be handled by the assembly subcontractor. The assembly & testing of the parts will remain as is. In the current process, PCB, SMD components, connectors, tape, Invar were managed by ams SCM planning/procurement.
