●Changes
■Due to product maintenance and to assure longevity of the TMC261 we moved the TMC261 driver ICs to a new process technology.
▲Revision field of IC label changes to “C”. (TMC261 to TMC261C)
▲Enhanced robustness according to power-up/-down in mixed-voltage systems
▲CMOS input levels are increased with 5V VCC_IO level to increase noise rejection
▲Increased VCC_IO supply current, 100nF Capacitor on VCC_IO near IC is mandatory
▲internal P-MOS drive level increased for reducing of power dissipation of driver FETs
▲Reduced power dissipation of internal circuitry
●Compatibility
■The new revision TMC261C of the TMC261 is fully compatible. Notes on hardware compatibility:
▲Package type and pinout are untouched
▲No change in package mechanical dimensions
▲No change in control software required
▲Absolute maximum ratings unchanged
▲Assembly and test facility stay unchanged
▲drop-in compatible
●Qualification of application with TMC261C is recommended for series production.
