●To help attach braiding to our metal backshells in both the Gecko and Datamate ranges, we have been supplying the M80-9470000 BAND-It tie. However, we have realised that this tie is too short for the largest sizes of backshell, and we have therefore added a longer version – M80-9480000
●For Datamate connectors, the BAND-It tie has always been sold separately. If your backshell and braiding exceed 22.4mm at the widest point, we recommend you switch to using the longer M80-9480000 tie.
●However, for Gecko-SL, the tie has been previously packaged with the backshells. We will no longer supply the tie as part of the kit, and you will need to purchase the applicable tie separately. Again, if your backshell plus braid exceed 22.4mm at the widest point, we recommend you use the longer tie.
●This change affects the following ranges:

■G125-964XXF1
●Some stock may remain in the network with the shorter tie still included in the kit, so if you are using larger backshells you may need to purchase the M80-9480000 in addition.
●Please note, the longer M80-9480000 is suitable for assemblies with 47.8 mm at the widest point, which should cover the existing range of Datamate and Gecko backshells. If we add any larger sizes of Datamate backshell, we will also consider additional ties at that time.
