Dangerous goods regulations for air freight (IATA, etc.) have been changed. Accordingly, we will change the package specifications for the lithium metal battery (UN3090) as shown by the option below starting on January 1, 2013. The regulation change is applied only to air freight. If you transport the goods by air on your own, please contact an airline. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

●Reason of the change:
■The 2013 dangerous goods regulations for air freight (IATA, etc.) newly regulate lithium metal battery (UN3090) in “Section IB” of the dangerous goods packaging standard 968.
●Details of the change: In according with the packaging standards of the dangerous goods regulations for air freight, our package specifications will change with a new clause specifying the addition of a dangerous goods label and caution text to the transport label.
■ Refer to the attachment 2/2 with regard to an indication sample.
■ This change does not affect the product’s capacity and properties.
●Reliability evaluation: As required by law. a drop impact test of the carton from 1 2 meters causes no problems.
● Schedule:
■Change in sequence starting from the consignment of January 2013.
■Remark: If you transport the goods by air on your own: an additional declaration is needed.
