●To Our Valued Customer: We appreciate your use of Vicor products. The purpose of this product change notice is to note a shipping packaging material change for all product shipped in JEDEC Trays.
●Product(s) Affected: All VICOR products shipped to our customers in JEDEC Trays. (examples of products types include but are not limited to; PRM, PFM, PRD, VTM, DCM, MCD, PLM, MCM, MCD, GBX, XCD, XTM, BCM, BCD, NBD, NBM.
●Proposed Change: VICOR will replace ESD safe corrugated cardboard packing material with ESD Vacuum Formed Plastic Cap Tray.
●Reason(s) for the Change: The purpose of this change is to reduce MSL moisture levels and provide better product protection.

▲Using ESD Vacuum Formed Plastic Cap Tray to replace the ESD Cardboard for top and bottom packaging will reduced overall moisture or water volume content inside the MSL Shipping Packaging by approximately 81% (~0.31255 in³ to 0.06064 in³ )).
▲ESD Vacuum Formed Plastic CapTray packing configuration passes all Drop Testing per DP-0444 and in compliance with IPC-9592B, 5.2.13. Worst case testing performed on heaviest product configurations. BCM6135, NBM2317, BCM135. A total of 26 drops data in report.
▲ESD Vacuum Formed Plastic Cap Tray conforms to ANSI/ESD S541-2019 Static Dissipative Surface Resistance Planar – ANSI/ESD STM11.11.

●Effective date of change: Estimate implementation date at VICOR will be on June 1, 2022.
