●Description of Change
■Silicon Labs is pleased to announce revision 4 for WGM160P Series 1 Wi-Fi modules and Datasheet update.
■Notable changes from previous revisions are:
◆The datasheet is updated to revision 1.3 to include new OPNs WGM160P rev4. Revision 4 parts do not have the Gecko OS kernel loaded and shipped with the debug interface unlocked. This is recommended for new designs based on Full MAC software.
◆Removed all references to Gecko OS.
◆Revision 3 of the WGM160P modules comes with Gecko OS kernel preloaded in the flash. Those parts are not recommended for new design (NRND) as Gecko OS has been set in maintenance mode and will turn End Of Life.
◆Revision 3 parts can be used with the Full MAC software but requires additional steps to be performed. Please refer to the Ordering Information section of the datasheet for more details.
