●As a result of a continuing raw material procurement issue, Parker Chomerics is currently unable to manufacture CHO-BOND® 1086 primer. As the potential duration of this raw material supply issue is expected to last several months, Parker Chomerics has begun proactively screening alternative raw materials to reformulate an equivalent CHO-BOND 1086 primer.
●The qualification testing of these alternative CHO-BOND 1086 formulations will take approximately two (2) weeks and will consist of both mechanical and electrical testing. If successful, Parker Chomerics would be in position to start shipping the re-formulated CHO-BOND 1086 primer sometime in April 2022.
●We understand the impact to your business a prolonged supply interruption of CHO-BOND 1086 may cause, and we are working diligently to mitigate this unfortunate disruption.
●The issue will also affect Parker’s ability to ship our silicone sealants and adhesives with CHO-BOND 1086 primer including:
■CHO-BOND 1016
■CHO-BOND 1030
■CHO-BOND 1035
■CHO-BOND 1038
■CHO-BOND 1075
■CHO-BOND 1121
●The above silicones and adhesives are still available for purchase without CHO-BOND 1086 primer. Specific part numbers are listed on page two of this document. Please contact your Parker Chomerics Inside Sales representative to update any outstanding orders accordingly.
